Andromeda Re-Watch 2009/2010!

The Great Andromeda Re-Watch of 2009!

This is something I've been wanting to do for a while now, and a fresh year seems like the best time to do it!

I'm proposing the following:

• Every week we watch one (or two) episodes, in order.
• Each episode will have it's own sub-forum, where discussion will ensue. You can almost anything about the episode, such as:
  
  • Memorable Quotes
  • Your thoughts on character development
  • Artwork specific to that episode
  • Questions you have relating to something in that episode
  • etc
• Each episode's first post will include an overview of the different topics raised, including links to those individual entries. This will allow people to quickly jump to a specific topic they might be interested in.

What's the point?

Well, we really need more content on the main website. Rather than copy and paste what every other Andromeda fansite out there has, we like to come up with our own unique and fresh version.

The re-watch was something I'd suggested to Achilles one day, as a way of refreshing our memories while we slowly build the Andromeda-Web Databank up from the ground. We might have forgotten a kick-ass quote from Season 1, or a supply ship name from Season 2. These are just some of the things we hope to come across in the re-watch.

When does it start?

The Andromeda Re-Watch will be kicking off on Sunday, 11 January 2009.

What do I do?

Pop your DVD into your DVD player and watch the relevant episode! Once you've watched the latest episode, come back and post your thoughts in the applicable forum.

I've posted this on the German scifi forum as well, this will be a nice thing for all the people who have just bought the freshly published season 1 DVDs.

Hope we can get some interesting information together which we can use for the database. And I hope there'll be a couple of people participating

I'll be re watching it if I can.

What I find interesting is the plethora of factions, alien races, and sides introduced in the First Season. I'll start off with the Eco-Terrorist Restorian Movement.

However, I'll be quite busy with the Andromeda 2008 rewriting and producing the Special Edition Version. Writing music about before the fall of the commonwealth is not easy.

I'm in the middle of season 4 on my DVD's but I'll gladly participate and start re-watching them from the beginning.
